Bob Dylan turns 70 today, and we continue our Dylan-tastic programming this week with today's 9:30 Coffee Break topic. We've been playing tons of Dylan since the weekend, but today we're going to focus strictly on Dylan covers. The man is, of course, a writer of tons of songs that hold up when practically anyone covers them, and many of those are considered some of the greatest and most classic popular songs ever written. What are some of your favorite cover performances?
Songs played:
Beck "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat"
The Byrds "Mr. Tambourine Man"
Rage Against the Machine "Maggie's Farm"
Nancy Sinatra "It Ain't Me Babe"
Jimi Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower"
Neko Case "Buckets of Rain"
All I Really Want To Do -- Cher [seriously]
"Everything Is Broken"
Kenny Wayne Shepherd
or RL Burnside
To make you feel my love - Adele
Masters of War-- Trini Lopez
Jimi Hendrix - "All Along the Watchtower"
Play Jimmy Fallon doing Dylan singing "Charles in Charge."

"Don't Think Twice it's Alright" - Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lepelles
Pearl Jam - Masters of War and maybe one of the greatest is Joe Cocker/Leon Russell doing Girl from the North Country with Bob in the audience from Mad Dogs and Englishman. The shout out to Bob to tell him that they love him is a classic.
