Tuesday: Nilsson "Nilsson Schmilsson" (1971)
Nilsson's most commercially successful album. It must have freaked him out to be appealing because he went back to being a little more eclectic and wacky on his next couple of releases.
Wednesday: The Kings, "Are Here" (1980)
The biggest release from this Canadian band, "Are Here" starts off with a big bang: the band's "double song," "This Beat Goes On / Switchin' To Glide."
Thursday: Terry Reid, "Terry Reid" (1969)
Terry Reid will always be known for being the guy that turned down Jimmy Page's offer to sing in The New Yardbirds (who would become Led Zeppelin). Reid was busy touring as the opening act for Cream, but he recommended Robert Plant. The rest is history.
Friday: The Holy Modal Rounders "The Moray Eels Eat the Holy Modal Rounders" (1968)
Dennis Hopper was a fan of this band ("Bird Song" was included on the Easy Rider soundtrack). Some super trippy and far out music!
