This morning my guest co-host Jacquie Fuller and I got into a protracted discussion about hair salons, and specifically, the various stock questions that most stylists seem to ask during the course of cutting your hair: "So, do you live around here?" "Are you done working for the day?" "Where do you work?" "Any big plans for the weekend?" We wondered if they teach these questions in cosmotology school as universal "conversation stimulators." Even if that were the case, we want to stress that would be okay - since you gotta start a conversation somewhere.
Anyway, always looking for a segue into the 9:30 Coffee Break, we pose the question, how many songs are there that have to do with haircutting? That's your assignment today.
Songs played:
Morrissey, "Hairdresser On Fire"
Pavement, "Cut Your Hair"
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, "Almost Cut My Hair"
