Steve and Jill grab a record from the shelf and play it on the air each weekday morning at 6:30am.

Monday: The Foundations, "Build Me Up Buttercup" (1968)
U.S. compilation of live recordings and the "hit" studio recordings.

Tuesday: The T-Bones, "No Matter What Shape (Your Stomach's In)" (1966)
The T-Bones were future members of "Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds." If you're a fan of Mad Men, you should pick up this album. Especially if you like cool-cat instrumentals inspired by television commercials.

Wednesday: Sha Na Na, "Sha Na Na" (1971)
50's nostalgia, gold lame', leather jackets... rock n' roll. This record has some very Sha Na Na sounding live cuts on side 1, some very hippie sounding studio tracks on side 2.

Thursday: The Byrds, "Never Before" (1987)
Compilation of unreleased demos, alternate takes and stereo mixes from the original lineup of The Byrds. Included, the Crosby penned tune that was rejected by McGuinn and Hillman, "Triad."

Friday: Billy Preston, "I Wrote a Simple Song" (1971)
This record contains the hit "Outa-Space." That song was an example of how to make an electric keyboard sound utterly cool. Billy Preston oozed cool. I mean come on, he played with The Beatles.
