Pitchfork 2010 concluded today with Pavement taking the stage after a comical introduction by "Rockin' Rian Murphy" of Chicago record label Drag City. The Sunday line-up followed the festival's blueprint of mixing indie darlings with mainstream sounding hip-hop and dance acts.
The midday highlights included a solid performance from Beach House, Local Natives and Girls. The 90 degree heat slowed down the crowd today causing less movement and more staking out spots for the evenings headliners.
If any one act could be credited for stealing the show it was Major Lazer with their over-the-top stage show and nonstop dance off, stealing Big Boi's opportunity to take the festival's energy up a notch. On the festivals third stage Sleigh Bells provided a break before Pavement made their appearance.
