It's the last day of our member campaign today on The Current, and we need your support to make these sizeable remaining goals. Needless to say, we're kinda bouncing off the walls with excitement, nervousness, and anticipation today ... and that's compounded by the generous amount of caffeine we're imgesting to keep up the energy. So, why not make today's 9:30 Coffee Break the 9:30 Espresso Break? Let's build a set of songs that are short and energized - two minutes or less in length and filled with plenty of caffeine.

"Bike" by Pink Floyd is short and silly, sort of like by brother Hosey...

Posted by kNoizey | May 13, 2010 9:23 AM

Gotta do "Buck Hill" by The 'Mats, my brother Hosey lives around there! By the way, Hose, Nick Bockwinkle called, and he'd like to have his arrogance back.

Minimun Wage by They Might Be Giants (someone already suggested it so I'm seconding it)

Orpheus in Hades Lounge by Let's Active - I believe it's a pretty short instrumental with some nice wah wah, I forget what album, you probably don't have it.

OH and I second "Happy Boy" by the Beat farmers!

kNoizey, sweet AWA reference. There should be a pledge drive to bring back that Minnesota institution. Minnesota Public Wrestling Association.

Or not. Peace. Let the Coffee Break Begin!

Darnit, I came in late. You could have played pretty much any Guided by Voices song from the Alien Lanes/Bee Thousand years, notably something like As We Go Up, We Go Down.

Plymouth Rock - Lifter Puller
Canyon Killer - Rocket From The Crypt

Posted by chad | May 13, 2010 9:47 AM

Punk - Suicide Machines

I know it's too late, but I thought that would have been a great one!
