A mouse that is Modest teams up with some birds that mimic..

Isn't this the stuff that every band dreams about? The Portland, Orgeon band Mimicking Birds gets an incredible show of support from/with Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse. The short version goes like this.. Band records demo. Friend of band who also happens to be a friend of Isaac passes demo on to him. Brock likes the demo and signs the band to his Glacial Pace record label.

The band's eponymous record was released just over two months ago and today you can grab the tune "Burning Stars" (featuring Isaac Brock) for free when you subscribe to our Song Of The Day podcast.

The band will be playing some dates in their immediate region next month and you can catch them at Lollapalooza in August.
