Monday: David Bowie, "Tonight" (1984)

David Bowie's worst album? Maybe his second worst, after "Never Let Me Down" (and these are by Bowie's own admission). But it does have a couple of keepers; besides "Blue Jean," it contains the spooky selection we aired, "Loving the Alien."

Tuesday: Marshall Crenshaw, "Marshall Crenshaw" (1982)

This, however, is a near perfect album. "Someday, Someway" was the big single (Crenshaw's most known song as well), but we played another radiantly gorgeous chunk of guitar pop, "Mary Anne."

Wednesday: Shuggie Otis, "Inspiration Information" (1974)

At one time Shuggie Otis was an in-demand session player, but he never quite reached great success in his solo career. We played the single off this record, the title track, "Inspiration Information."

Thursday: Grace Jones, "Nightclubbing" (1981)

We played "Demolition Man," a song penned by, none other than, Sting. The Police would also record the song and put it on the album "Ghost in the Machine," but not until Grace Jones released it as a single.

Friday: Odetta, "Odetta Sings" (1970)

This album contains mostly covers; Odetta sings the songs of Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and Elton John to name a few. We played her version of the Randy Newman penned song, "Mama Told Me Not To Come." Three Dog Night had a hit with that song in 1970, so not many people may remember Odetta recording it.
