Tonight the New Zealand artist James Milne will bring his alter ego, Lawrence Arabia to The Cedar Cultural Center in support of Fanfarlo. You may recognize James from his appearances on stage along with The Brunettes, Okkervil River and Feist. We wanted to help familiarize you with his new material by offering you a free tune on Song Of The Day podcast. You can grab "Apple Pie Bed" from the new record Chant Darling for free when you subscribe to the podcast.
The video seems a bit too NSFW to post. But if your IT department and/or boss aren't watching, you can view it here.
Today is your last chance to grab "World Sick" from Broken Social Scene's forthcoming Forgiveness Rock Record. You'll also receive "Orion" from These New Puritans and "Wait So Long," new local music from Palomino, the forthcoming record from Trampled By Turtles and "Girls FM" from Happy Birthday. Get these musical goodies for free when you subscribe to the podcast... Do it here.
Later this week we'll be featuring new music from Archie Bronson Outfit and Josh Rouse.
Anybody that showed up early to the Fanfarlo show got a treat. Lawrence Arabia was super.
I second Steve's comment. I went to their show yesterday in Chicago (I'm here for school), and both Lawrence Arabia and Robert Francis were Awesome.
A big second to Steve's comment. I went to Fanfarlo's show yesterday in Chicago, and both Lawrence Arabia and Robert Francis were AWEsome.
