Today's 9:30 Coffee Break theme: songs with talking in them. Oh, how we love tunes with those little monologues in the middle ... "Sweetheart, it's been so long since I've told you ..." Sure, there's a ton of country songs that have spoken interludes in them, but we'll accept any song with speaking in it today, just to make it interesting. Whatcha got?
"Doesn't Someboday Want To Be Wanted" - The Partridge Family
GOOD TIMES by Edie Brickel (Barry White talking at the end - kills me every time).
The Clash
Red Angel Dragent
One of these days, I'm gonna get myself organizised..
Or Inoculated City.
Home - Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic zeros
bonnie and clyde by luna
and a bunch of other french ones (or at least serge gainsbourg)
"(You're My)Soul and Inspiration"- Righteous Brothers
I was confused on the topic when I got the tweet. I had suggested "Little Acorns"- by the White Stripes, because there was an announcer talking.
Everybody's Free to Wear Sunscreen - Baz Luhmann
Ghetto Defendant - The Clash
Hello Darlin' - George Jones
What's Going On - Marvin Gaye
bitchin' camero--the dead milkmen
all i can do is cry--ike and tina turner (one her most amazing performances)
I Need Love by LL Cool J (actually, Luka Bloom did a kick-arse version of it as well)!
