Listen:

Monday: Prince and The Revolution, "Around The World In a Day" (1985)
"Around The World In a Day" wasn't exactly radio friendly and packed with singles, but that's not really what Prince was going for with this release. In fact, The Purple One wanted people to experience the entire record, not just a few songs at one. We played "Paisley Park."

Tuesday: Country Joe & The Fish, "Here We Are Again" (1969)
This album was more blues rock and less folk rock than previous Country Joe & The Fish records. In fact, it's more pop than protest. We played "Donovan's Reef."

Wednesday: Sam & Dave, "Sweet & Funky Gold" (1978)
This isn't just any old greatest hits collection. Sam and Dave actually re-recorded their hits for this release. Some of the tunes have a little too much of the polished 70's sound, but some are kinda nice. We played the re-recording of "Hold On, I'm Comin."

Thursday: The Monkees, "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd." (1967)
The Monkees were down with Astrology. Mickey Dolenz is a Pisces, Peter Tork is an Aquarius, and both Mike Nesmith and Davy Jones are Capricorns. Instead of listing Capricorn twice in a row in the title, Davy is the star sign of "Jones."
We played the Peter Tork spoken word gem, "Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky" into the album's hit song, "Pleasant Valley Sunday."

Friday: George Harrison, "Dark Horse" (1974)
We're not sure why George Harrison didn't wait until he was over his laryngitis to record this album. Perhaps it was the big tour coming up to promote it or maybe he just wanted to get the material out and done with. We played the title track from this record and you can hear how much his voice was affected. 1974 was also the year that he and his wife Pattie Boyd divorced and she went and married his best friend (Eric Clapton).
