We could do a coffee break this morning about heartbreak or disgust over the Vikings' loss yesterday, but we decided to find some way to be cheerful instead. So a little unironic saxophone seemed in order. You know you love the thing. Or maybe you don't; we'll also take requests for songs that are otherwise great but nearly ruined by the presence of a sax solo. That's today's 9:30 Coffee Break.

Angel Eyes - Roxy Music
A Night Like This - The Cure
Overkill - Men At Work

all songs in which, I would say, the saxophone actually works.

Bruce Springsteen-"Jungleland." You can't do a tribute to wailin' sax solos and NOT feature SOMETHING by the Big Man, and this may be his defining moment...I don't care what the A.V. Club says, the sax works PERFECTLY in this song...
