I guess an obvious choice is She Blinded Me With Science by Thomas Dolby

Mr. Roboto would work too

Weird Science by Oingo Boingo

(I just submitted this somewhere else, too, because I couldn't find this thread!)

I immediately thought of Thomas Dolby's "She Blinded Me with Science" as well, but that seems too obvious. My dad taught high school chemistry from 1978-2008 and would often play "She Blinded Me..." in the early 80s for his classes! But I'd prefer to hear Oingo Boingo...I think that's who sang it. I used to steal my brother's Oingo Boingo tape and listen to them in elementary school!
