So we're going to go with something a little lighter this time for our quick poll: What's the best Beatles parody? There's a nice collection of album covers "inspired" by The Beatles at Spinner.com, but we went with these three instead. Did we miss any?
How about The Mosquitoes on Gilligan 's Island?
I think the best parody is "Meet the Beat-Alls" It is a Power Puff Girls cartoon by Craig McCracken. It references Many song lyrics and also The Beatles career as a whole. Very clever, a must see for Beatles fans.
Its got to be The Rutles, which I think was to The Beatles as This is Spinal Tap was to Metal bands.
The music of the Rutles is dead-on! Check it out for yer self then!

Let's Be Natural! (great little tune by a tribute band to a Beatles Tribute Band)

Whoa! Wait a minute! Hold the presses! Where are The Beets?
As a kid I loved watching the cartoon Doug on Nickelodeon and Doug's dad's favorite band the Beets with their hit album "Let it Beet" are the best Beatles parody ever! OUTRAGE!!!
Though, that Power Puff Girls episode was freakin' awesome...
Also, the parody in Dickie Cox was extremely hilarious.
Also, I always thought that the vultures in Jungle Book were supposed to be a version of the Beatles. Was I just way off?
The cartoon Tiny Toons also had an episode featuring a band of bugs called.... The Roaches. While that one might not be too relevant, I agree the Beets need to be up there. Killer Tofu!!
Coldplay is the best Beatles parody around.
National Lampoon Magazine circa 1976 with the fake album covers. Rabbi Saul; If only your mother should know and so on!
How about Klaatu? More imitation/hoax than parody I guess. Their first album was rumored to be the Beatles under a fake name. The Carpenters had a minor hit covering the opening track "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" (Really!) I think you'd also have to consider some of the Dukes of Stratospheare, which was a side project of XTC.
The Rutles, for sure.
Klaatu as the Beatles 'undercover', absolutely! Sub Rosa Subway, Anus of Uranus, Loneliest Creature, great stuff!
The Current should play some!
