Cover 2 Cover...

Today on Cover to Cover (C2C, if you will) we played The Blind Boys Of Alabama's cover of "People Get Ready." The tune was originally written and released by Curtis Mayfield. I thought it would be interesting to hear his version, and as a special bonus, this one features Taylor Dayne of "Tell It To My Heart" fame.

We also played Massive Attack's version of "Be Thankful for What You Got." The original version of the tune was recorded by William De Vaughn in 1972. Over the years, Love and Yo La Tengo have also covered the tune. Give the original a listen..
