To Panic or Not To Panic? That Is the Topic.

Day 2 of Swine Flu hysteria on American cable news in America and around the world, and we're on to our second day of barely-tasteful requests for the 9:30 Coffee Break. Today, Jill and I took on the whole notion of fear itself, soliciting your requests on either side of the panic/don't panic equation.

Hoo boy, we loved these! (So much that we had to play four instead of three). We both thought, "Surely we'll get our share of 'Panic in Detroit' and 'Panic' by The Smiths. Well, yes. But the best were far funnier. The first summed it up with it's opening shout of "Freak out!" The second is self explanatory. Then we got obtuse. The third contains its awesome hysterical exclamation of "everything's fine!!!" and for the final song, the caller finished the "sentence" of the song title with the phrase, "... if you don't wash your hands."

1) Chic, "Le Freak"
2) Cloud Cult, "Please Remain Calm"
3) Tracy Bonham, "Mother Mother"
4) My Morning Jacket, "Touch Me, I'm Going To Scream"

Thanks again, funny people.
