1948 - Steven Tyler was born.
1950 - Teddy Pendergrass was born.
1968 - James Iha (guitar, Smashing Pumpkins) was born.
1969 - Marvin Gaye was at No.1 on the UK singles chart, with 'I Heard It Through The Grapevine'.
2001 - The toy figure of Eminem was facing a ban from UK shops. Woolworth's and Hamleys were refusing to stock the dolls. Psychologists warned parents who buy the dolls for children will be inadvertently giving their approval to bad language.
2006 - Readers of Total Guitar magazine voted the guitar solo by Jimmy Page in Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway To Heaven' as the greatest guitar solo of all time.
Diana Ross is 65 today, born Diane Earle on this date in 1944. She enjoyed years as one of the most recognized and successful soul singers in the world as the leader of The Supremes, with over 20 US & UK top 40 hits including the 1964 No. 1 'Baby Love' and solo hits including the 1980 US No.1 single 'Upside Down.'

Happy Birthday Diana and Many More. I want you to know that I LOVE YOU and I always will. You are the Best in everything that you do( singing/acting/being a mother.) I am looking foward to seeing you next month in Dallas. I wanted to see you in concert here in Dallas but, it was canceled and I was so disappointed. We will see each other next month, I can't wait.
