1965 - Ringo Starr married his long-time girlfriend Maureen.
1972 - David Bowie first performed as Ziggy Stardust.
1985 - The Police won 'Outstanding Contribution to British Music' award at the Brit Awards.
1986 - Boy George guest-starred in an episode of "The A-Team" as a singer mistakenly booked into a country dance hall. Yikes.
1989 - Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" was #1.
