My Three Songs Friday

Posted at 12:09 PM on January 2, 2009 by Jill Riley

Justin advocates girl power. In a musically, good way. That's just my assumption from his three song set he submitted for My Three Songs.

1.) St. Vincent "Paris is Burning"
2.) Bat For Lashes "What's a Girl to Do?"
3.) Feist "I Feel it All"

Guest DJ Set 1-2-09

Posted at 10:08 PM on January 2, 2009 by Mark Wheat

Apologies to our First Friday resident DJ ESP, a technical glitch stopped his set from making it tonight, he'll be back in Feburary.

Tonight's set from Rory Hoy also has a local connection, it's released on Freddy Fresh's Howlin Records. Rory just turned 21 and has already made over 30 films, his latest, "Autism & Me" was shown on the BBC earlier this year. This is his first full length, a beautiful ambient session called 'Cosmic Child' we played;
2. Life on other planets
3. Sunandt hest ars
4. The journey
