1942 - Ted Bluechel Jr. (The Association) was born.
1969 - Cindy Birdsong (Supremes) was kidnapped at knifepoint. She escaped unharmed and the kidnapper was arrested four days later.
1971 - Donna Matthews (Elastica) was born.
1978 - Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) was born.
1979 - Neil Diamond & Barbra Streisand's "You Don't Bring Me Flowers" was #1.
1983 - MTV aired Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video for the first time.
2000 - The Smashing Pumpkins played (what was supposed to be) their final concert at the Metro in Chicago.
