1968 - The Beatles' White album was released in the US.
1974 - Nick Drake died in his sleep of an overdose.
1984 - Bob Geldof 's supergroup Band-Aid (featuring Midge Ure, Bono, Boy George, Sting and others) recorded the charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
1995 - Thom Yorke (Radiohead) blacked out from exhaustion halfway through a show in Germany.
2003 - Meat Loaf underwent heart surgery.
2007 - Kevin Dubrow (Quiet Riot) was found dead from an overdose.
