"My 3 Songs" for Wednesday

A tip of the hat to a very busy local artist today, courtesy of of Meghan Boyle. Alexi Moon, also known as Crescent Moon - singer, songwriter, guitarist, rapper, sonic chameleon. "Here's to a local MC/singer/songwriter with incredible range and talent, (with) three songs, one from each of his projects."

1) Roma Di Luna, "Before I Die"
2) Big Trouble, "Hunting Season"
3) Kill The Vultures, "Moonshine"

"Hunting Season" from Big Trouble is from Moon-Casselle's recent guest appearance/collaboration with the band, entitled (what else?) "Crescent Moon's In Big Trouble." The Roma di Luna track features the lovely vocal stylings of his partner, Channy Moon-Casselle, in a great example of Alexei's most reflective side, writing and playing folk-inspired music in the vein of the Carter Family; and Kill the Vultures shows what might be best described as "Tom Waits meets hip hop." Thanks Meghan for giving this man his props.
