Susan Yee of St. Francis writes, "(These tunes) just make me happy and remind me of how great all these bands are in concert, and how lucky I was to have seen all three of them this year."

1) Wilco, "Impossible Germany"
2) Aimee Mann, "Going Through the Motions"
3) The New York Dolls, "Babylon"

Thanks Susan!

Posted at 8:45 PM on October 28, 2008 by Mark Wheat (1 Comments)

It's the Last Big New Release Night of the Year!

Now you have to go away and start making your 'Best of the Year' lists....
then you can vote for our Top 89, which will be coming sooner than you think!

Bloc Party: Intimacy [Atlantic]
- Considering the title this is an apt Metacritic rating!

The Cure: 4:13 Dream [Suretone/Geffen]
- It's official, at least from the NME, they are God like Genius'!

Deerhunter: Microcastle [Kranky]
- this could be very near the top of Pitchfork's year of end tally.

Eagles of Death Metal: Heart On [Downtown]
- Kicking off their tour in Seattle tomorrow and in the Fine Line on Nov 8th.

Ryan Adams and the Cardinals: Cardinology [Lost Highway]
- THANKS again to everyone who helped make our Fund Drive a success.
Hook yourself up with a copy of our CD of the Week if you missed the fun!

Snow Patrol: A Hundred Million Suns [Geffen]
- A title suggesting they are set to melt their old identity? Officially no.

Squarepusher: Just a Souvenir [Warp]
- a legendary electronic music pioneer, still cutting the edge?

Kaiser Chiefs "Off With Their Heads"
- If you have been wondering where they get the name from, go here.
