1956 - Barry Andrews (XTC) was born.
1957 - Pat Dinizio (The Smithereens) was born.
1966 - The first episode of The Monkees was shown on TV in the US.
1966 - Ben Folds was born.
1986 - John McGeoch (Public Image Ltd guitarist) received 40 stitches after a wine bottle was thrown at the stage during a gig in Vienna.
1988 - Shane Macgowan (Pogues) was admitted to a hospital due to nervous exhaustion.
1990 - Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie announced they were leaving Fleetwood Mac.
2003 - Johnny Cash died.
