"My 3 Songs" for Friday

Keely Gerhold of Mpls picked her tunes today because, she says, "They're fabulous, and I need a little something to help me through the work day."

1) Tori Amos, "Silent All These Years"
2) Rufus Wainwright, "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk"
3) The Beatles, "Across the Universe"

By the way Keely, hope it's okay that I played the version of "Across the Universe" from Let It Be: Naked -- the release of that record that omits many of the Phil Spector production embellishments from the original release. This version of "Across the Universe" almost becomes a different song -- utterly striking in it's intimacy.
