The Hold Steady are performing on David Letterman (CBS 10:35pm) tonite & it appears they will also be featured in a comedy sketch on the show. Apparently the Late Show cameras have been following Craig and the gang
They played "Sequestered in Memphis". It was great!
It alternated between calling the Hold Steady "an up and coming band" and "the greatest rock group in America". Go figure. I enjoyed Dave's joke about holding the album cover steady. The Stay Positive [sic] is in stores now.
Those guys must have been tickled to be the musical guests while Neil Young was a sit-down guest. I missed the sketch earlier in the show though; I'll have to check that part out online.
