"My 3 Songs" for Friday

Rachel Oberg-Hauser writes in today, "We, in the O'Shaughnessy Ticket Office, listen to The Current everyday. These are some of our favorite women artists who have come to the O'Shaughnessy in the last couple of years."

1) The Wailin' Jennys, "Devil's Paintbrush Road"
2) Madeleine Peyroux, "La Vie en Rose"
3) Brandi Carlile, "What Can I Say"

That was a lovely set, Rachel. I'm also always amazed everytime we air any of the songs that Brandi Carlile has performed for us live here on The Current (the version of "What Can I Say" that I played today was one of them), because she always, always nails it -- to the point where it seriously sounds like a meticulously crafted produced performance from a CD. What a consummate artist she is.
