1937 - Freddy Fender was born.
1944 - Roger Ball (Average White Band) was born.
1958 - Selwyn Brown (Steel Pulse) was born.
1974 - Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band) was born.
1975 - The Rolling Stones became the first rock band to receive royalties for sales of their records in Russia.
1976 - The Live At CBGB'S performances from Blondie, Talking Heads and others took place at GBGB's.
1993 - Kurt Cobain was arrested after a dispute concerning his collection of firearms at his home in Seattle .
1996 - Crowded House announced their break-up.
