Here I am, day two at the Bonnaroo Music Festival down in Manchester, TN. It's hot again, I believe the temperature is around 90 degrees at the moment.
To beat the heat, lots of people are taking a splash in the Bonnaroo fountain. I think I might actually stick my head under the fountain today. It looks fun. Water is your friend at Bonnaroo. If you don't stay hydrated, you're probably bound for the medical tent.
Last night most folks checked out MGMT, Battles and Vampire weekend. There wasn't a whole lot going on other than that last night.
The crowd was really into MGMT (photo credit Music Allies), especially when they played ''Electric Feel", "Time to Pretend" and "Kids". MGMT sounded really good from where I was standing, "Time to Pretend" didn't sound as polished as the album version. But-- I didn't really expect it to.

Battles (photo credit Music Allies) was a crowd pleaser, totally appropriate for this festival. The beat of their music is good for light stick dancing... and there was plenty of that.
Today is the day a lot of people have been looking forward to. There's music going on everywhere! The stages are in full swing. So that means I don't want to sit here anymore... I'll be checking in with Mark Wheat at 4:40 and 5:40pm so stay tuned!
My prediction is I'm really going to enjoy Chris Rock and Metallica tonight.
Wait, is that guy in the second photo autographing the fountain?
