"My 3 Songs" for Monday
Posted at 1:05 PM on May 5, 2008 by Steve Seel (0 Comments)
With our celebration of Minnesota's 150th birthday all this week, we've got lots of stuff planned for you and My Three Songs is in on the fun too. We asked local music personalities, writers, musicians and other local luminaries to submit their three song sets.
We start off today with Steve McPherson, writer for Reveille Magazine and guitarist for Big Trouble and Jessy Greene. Over the years Steve has contributed to City Pages, Howwastheshow.com, and Skyscraper Magazine, and he also served as Music Editor for Pulse of the Twin Cities from 2005-2007.
Steve's songs have a certain similarity in their titles:
1) Caribou, "She's The One"
2) The Zombies, "She's Not There"
3) Wilco, "She's A Jar"
He adds, "I hemmed and hawed over this, but Caribou's "She's The One" has been haunting me, so ..."
Nicely done, Steve. Thanks a bunch, and thanks for all you do around these parts!
