Another Minnesota music luminary today, as we continue with our week-long MN 150 edition of My Three Songs.
Andrea Myers is Music Editor at City Pages; she's contributed to Reveille Magazine, Howwastheshow.com, Vita.mn, Pulse of the Twin Cities, Rift Magazine, and Alarm Press. Andrea's songs (which are also two-thirds local):
1) Ani DiFranco, "Shy"
2) Brother Ali, "Forest Whitaker"
3) Sam Keenan, "That Was Then"
She says, "These songs are perfect for driving around with the windows down!" This is truly the theme that has emerged this week; I think it's just proof that when you combine our shared love of music with our love of springtime in Minnesota, we're all pretty much in heaven.
Thanks Andrea, and thanks for your writerly contributions to the local landscape.
