"My 3 Songs" for Wednesday

Posted at 12:51 PM on May 7, 2008 by Steve Seel

Continuing with our Minnesota 150 week here on My Three Songs as we give local musicians and music notables their crack at contributing three-song sets, today we've got Eric Lovold, of The Alarmists!

Eric says, "My theme is spring. We (The Alarmists) just put out spring singles because spring songs make people want to be outside and drive with their windows open."

1) The Zombies, "Care of Cell 44" ("best spring song ever?" muses Eric)
2) The Dandy Warhols, "Boys Better"
3) The Sleepy Jackson, "Come to This"

That's the second Zombies song that's been requested this week ... hmmm, could there be something about their sound that says "thawing"?
