"My 3 Songs" for Thursday

Morgan Bray of Maplewood writes today, "I love The Alarmists; 'Soldados' is my favorite song, gotta support local music! Also, Michael Franti is one of the most amazing and humble musicians I have ever seen. (And the reason for the final song:) It's just awesome!"

1) The Alarmists, "Soldados"
2) Michael Franti and Spearhead, "Yell Fire!"
3) The Black Keys, "10 A.M. Automatic"

If I were to choose three songs next thusday, i'd have to go with Wilco's "At Least That's What You Said", Sigur Ros' "Untitled 3", and Iron & Wine's "Naked As We Came".

These three songs are methodical and beautiful, yet completely compelling at the same time.
