"My 3 Songs" for Monday

A melancholy Monday set today, from Julie Carroll of Mpls, who writes: "Because breaking up is hard to do!"

1) Feist, "So Sorry"
2) MGMT, "Youth"
3) Silversun Pickups, "Kissing Familes"

Nice crescendo of emotion in that set, Julie ... otherwise, hope everbody's hearts heal soon.

Meanwhile, a separate observation: has anybody ever noticed how Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups sounds like Lindsey Buckingham when his singing gets more hysterical?

Wow, Seel, you're totally on the money with that Aubert/Lindsey Buckingham comparision. I went back and listened to that Silversun Pickups track and started laughing when I got to the section in question. It's the high-pitched voice Buckingham used on the kookier numbers on Law and Order and Go Insane. Good catch.
