Gnarls Barkley video banned from MTV.
Joaquin Phoenix directed the latest Silversun Pickups video.
Today In Music History:
1944 - David Gilmour was born
1944 - Mary Wilson (The Supremes) was born
1998 - Oasis singer Liam Gallagher faced charges of head butting a fan during a gig in Australia.
2004 - David Crosby was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a weapon and marijuana after leaving his bag in a New York hotel.
Having not seen MTV play a video for about 15 years now, it strikes me as odd, or redundant, that they would chose to ban one.
Well, at least it was banned for a legitimate medical reason, not some bogus issue like nudity, silliness or general bad taste. Strobe lights flashing at a certain frequency DO cause seizures in susceptible people, like my mother. (Not that she watches much MTV - QVC is more her style).
