A Look Inside Andrew Bird's Noggin

Posted at 12:07 PM on March 28, 2008 by Steve Seel (1 Comments)

Here's a really cool blog post Andrew Bird wrote for the New York Times. A handful of different singer-songwriters are sharing insights into their process of writing songs, and it looks like it will be a really fascinating read looking at the different approaches and accounts of how songs emerge and congeal in different artists' minds.

Just one more thing that gets me fired up to see Mr. Bird on June 21st at Rock the Garden.

I've always been fascinated with artists' various processes behind the writing and recording of their material. I wish more of them would elaborate on it like this. Mr. Bird has never really won me over, but by the time I got to the end of this article, I was practically giddy with excitement for his new album. I like hearing about "works-in-progress" and then seeing how the finished product ends up.
