"My 3 Songs" for Wednesday

Posted at 1:40 PM on March 5, 2008 by Steve Seel

Peter McKown of Lakeville MN didn't have to go far for an idea for his set today; he writes, "I make a mix of my current favorite songs each month and these are the first three songs of this month's mix."

1) Regina Spektor, "Hotel Song"
2) The Beatles, "Got To Get You Into My Life"
3) Arcade Fire, "Building Downtown (Antichrist Television Blues)"

What a nice surprise to get that Beatles tune between those two newer things. Thanks Peter!

Pssst - Wanna hear new Tapes 'n Tapes?

Posted at 4:09 PM on March 5, 2008 by Lindsay Kimball

You have until noon tomorrow to stream the new Tapes 'n Tapes album "Walk It Off." If I'm doing the math right (from Central Standard Time), you've got about 20 hours of unlimited streaming. Then you have to wait until April 8th in the US or the 7th in the UK.

Track Listing:
1. Le Ruse
2. Time of Songs
3. Hang Them All
4. Headshock
5. Conquest
6. Say Back Something
7. Demon Apple
8. Blunt
9. George Michael
10. Anvil
11. Lines
12. The Dirty Dirty

I'm on track two. So far so good.

Another New Local CD

Posted at 9:28 PM on March 5, 2008 by Mark Wheat

Cloud Cult's "Feel Good Ghosts (Tea-Partying Through Tornadoes)", the band's newest full length album is now available on their website only (it won't be available to the rest of the world until April 8, 2008).

AND if you'd like to make a video to be projected on their back stage screen on the forthcoming tour you can do that to on the website.

AND they'll be joining us at SXSW, we're blessed.
