1966 - John Lennon's statement that The Beatles were 'more popular than Jesus Christ' was published in The London Evening Standard.
1967 - Evan Dando (The Lemonheads) was born.
1978 - Andy Gibb's "(Love Is) Thicker Than Water" was #1.
1994 - Kurt Cobain was rushed to a hospital after overdosing on a combination of champagne and Rohypnol (he was released a few days later.)
2002 - Doreen Waddell (Soul II Soul) was killed in traffic while trying to escape after being caught shoplifting.

How could Brett and I talk about facemelting guitar solos without recognizing Brian May of Queen? We couldn't. The song "Brighton Rock" by Queen is famous for the guitar solo. We think Brian May's guitar playing is out of this world. Speaking of out of this world, did you know May is an astrophysicist?
