"My 3 Songs" for Monday

Posted at 1:57 PM on March 3, 2008 by Steve Seel (1 Comments)

It's not TV on the radio today; you might say it's "radio on the TV on the radio." Mark Janovec from Hudson WI writes, "I picked three of my favorite songs that are more well known for their appearances on television that for what little radio airplay they have received. I thought it would be a nice turnabout to hear these songs on the radio for a change. Plus, I have never heard The Minuntemen on The Current ... so that's enough of a reason for giving them their due!"

1) Minutemen, "Corona" (used as theme for Jackass)
2) Big Star, "In The Street" (Cheap Trick version used for That 70s Show)
3) Nick Drake, "Pink Moon" (used oh so famously in that lovely VW ad)

Thanks Mark! A fine credit-where-credit-is-due set.
