I'm proud to say The Current has a new podcast called Facemelter. I've been working on it with Brett Baldwin, one of the new media producers here at Minnesota Public Radio. One day Brett and I found out that we both liked heavy guitars and that feeling you get when you know your face has been melted. So we came up with a concept-- let's talk about guitar solos that are so awesome, they melt your face!
So here we are! Sign up for the weekly podcast, make suggestions and get ready to have your face melted!
Sounds like a promising podcast. Nothing like a great solo :)
One guitar solo that has incinerated my face many times over is John McLaughlin on Birds of Fire (off the album with the same name). You could power every air conditioner in Texas with this kind of energy.
