"My 3 Songs" for Thursday

Posted at 1:08 PM on January 31, 2008 by Steve Seel

Leslie Estrem of Mpls writes, "All of these songs are from albums released in 2007 by artists who I discovered this year. These are my favorite tracks from each album, and when I chose them I realized I picked track #1 from each album. All different genres/styles by all really great tunes."

1) The Broken West, "On the Bubble"
2) Elvis Perkins, "While You Were Sleeping"
3) The Bird and the Bee, "Again and Again"

Diverse indeed, Leslie. But what great songs ... I still always like the idea of a great "first track" set (shades of a High Fidelity conversation lurk in there somewhere...).
