"My 3 Songs" for Christmas Day

Posted at 1:05 PM on December 25, 2007 by Steve Seel

While it might not be Christmas music, Mike Taylor of Mount Ranier MD has a set that's not inappropriate today, I think. On a day when pretty much all of us have home on our minds, in one way or another -- either because we're there, spending time with family, or because we long to be there, and our absence from it is made stark by the advent of the holiday itself -- Mike writes: "I've been listening to The Current online everyday at work since I moved to Maryland from Minnesota over a year ago, and we're getting ready to move again. I can't find roots, and sometimes I get achingly homesick."

1) Alexi Murdoch, "Breathe"
2) Jeremy Messersmith, "Novocain"
3) Rocky Votolato, "White Daisy Passing"

Merry Christmas, Mike. I hope you find home wherever it is that you wind up.
