Beatles ahead by a head!

Thanks to everyone who has responded so far to the old chestnut of a question...
Who Is The Greatest Band Ever! There have been some very inspiring posts showing the depth of love for music that you have as an audience...er...but Led Zep are losing?!?! The Beatles are ahead, with 'david' doing an awesome job of breaking down why. Honorable mentions go to The Rolling Stones, Clash, Neil Young, Bruce and Massive Attack, thanx to 'Depunked Bridgette' who created her own blog about it!
One of the most eloquent pieces was from 'michael' who suggested U2 and that they may be the last of the bands to develop that could be even considered for this title, making them the greatest ever almost by default, interesting. Thanks to Greg Tennant too for trying to derail the discussion almost immediately (he was the second post) with..."to hell with deciding whos number one, it shouldn't matter,it's a none issue". I will feature some of these comments on the air Thursday night between 8-9pm and play some corresponding tracks.
Add you thoughts here if you would like to be included and go here to check out all the comments so far.

"My 3 Songs" for Wednesday

Posted at 5:06 PM on December 12, 2007 by Steve Seel

We've got a slightly mysterious one today: Alahna Robinson of Mpls writes, "It's been a while since I've been in this mindset. I'd like to share my mindset with hip-and-with-it Minneapolis."

1) Arcade Fire, "Wake Up"
2) Rufus Wainwright, "Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk"
3) Neutral Milk Hotel, "Holland 1945"

Clearly, I'm not hip-and-with-it at all, because I don't get the subtext. But if you do, then enjoy's Alahna's coded message for you today.
