It's Lena's turn today to shine -- we didn't get her last name or hometown, but no matter, her set is pretty crafty. She says, "I recently 'Fell In Love With A Boy,' and now I think about him all the time, which is 'The Curse of Being In Love.' We're still getting to know each other; I think he's feels similarly, but 'Is It Love?'"
1) Joss Stone, "Fell In Love With A Boy"
2) Sondre Lerche, "The Curse Of Being In Love"
3) Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, "Is This Love"

Seems like it comes earlier every year, the end of the release schedule for new music, and boy this year seems like it's going faster than ever doesn't it? There are some good stockin' stuffers in this week's list tho;
LCD Soundsystem "45:33" - a mix originally only available as a download, a work out mix!
Aretha Franklin "all-star duets" - originally released in the 80-90's, with some big names including Keef and Frank!
The Hives - "The Black and White Album" in keeping with their theme and our color scheme.
Led Zeppelin - "The Mothership". Go buy it just to entice them to tour! Who to give it to?!? IMHO everyone should be issued a copy of this box set upon birth, end of story, this IS the mothership of rock!
Ian Dury - "The Best of Sex & Drugs & Rock'n'Roll", another indispensable collection from an original who literally coined the phrase that has ruled many a fine life !
Robyn Hitchcock - "I Wanna Go Backwards" a boxset of 4 of his early albums, always nice when a young hip American record label celebrates an underated songwriter from the ol' country.
Os Mutantes - "Live at The Barbican". They hadn't played in 30 years but of course now you can see the gig as if they were a new buzz band, not a seminal Brazilian psyche-band!
EXTRAS:
When Art Brut stopped by the studio I asked for some advice from Eddie Argos about how to do the best rock interview, I thought he would have an opinion at least! But he said that Pitchfork had asked him the day before to interview Craig Finn of The Hold Steady and he didn't know where to start! You can witness the results here.
AND when Fiery Furnaces stopped by recently, Eleanor was bemoaning the fact that the server had crashed and lost all her work on their official website. Well it's back and it's one of the best and funniest I have read, but then I'm biased!
