Today's tune is from the long awaited, much anticipated new release from Dan Wilson . "Cry" is from the CD Free Life.

LIsa Bradley of Mpls writes, "I just moved here from Milwaukee and your station rocks! These are my three faves. Please play them and I needd a bike in this city! Thanks!"
1) Luna, "Anesthesia"
2) Orchestral Manuvers In The Dark, "Enola Gay"
3) Morrissey, "Suedehead"
Nice going Lisa. First of all, this is one of those "it's been just long enough since I've heard these songs that I totally loved hearing them again" kind of experiences for me. Second, welcome to town Lisa, and yes, you should have a bike in the cities! Finally, I referred to the movie Urgh! A Music War in my comments -- I had just watched an old copy of this recently, and OMD was featured in it doing this very song. It was mindblowing to see, as was every other performance in the movie -- shot in 1980 and released in 1981, it's kind of a critical piece of musical nostalgia for me and a lot of musicheads my age, as it was shown a lot on cable TV around the time (a time before MTV had really taken off, and so seeing one's favorite post-punk and New Wave bands on television was a huge deal). Sadly, the film isn't available on DVD, and according to the article linked to above, such a thing doesn't look too likely anytime soon. But we can always dream...
