Today's Song for Red - Bugz in the Attic

Red's latest thing is insects and other buggy-type things. We've been watching this series "Life in the Undergrowth," an absolutely spell-binding documentary that brings the audience to the world of millipedes, antler moths, mayflies and some creatures I didn't even know existed. It fits in quite nicely with her 2nd grade class's plan to study the entire lifecycle of various insects.

I figured seeing bugs up close and personal might relieve Red of some of the fear she has of them, particularly when she sees one crawling around the house. It doesn't quite seem to work out that way, though. It's Dad to the rescue. The only difference now is that I usually have to treat them "humanely" and release them into the wild, rolling my eyes all the while.
