Concerts

Tis the season for great concerts in the Twin Cities! What band/artist are you looking forward to seeing live? I'm going to The Flaming Lips Sunday night, I can't wait. I'm thinking that I MUST see Springsteen as well (and Van Halen, but I'm worried about getting too excited about that one).

On to something that has nothing to do with music... I can't stop watching the Ice Road Truckers show on the History Channel.

The Sandinista! "Project" - Final Cut

Over the course of the project, I've come to realize that there are entire portions of the album that really only work in the context of the stuff around it. This isn't necessarily an ideal version of Sandinista!, merely a concise best-of. I haven't checked to see if the side lengths add up to less than 25 minutes a piece; I guess you'll just have to take my word.

"Police on My Back"
"Somebody Got Murdered"

"The Sound of the Sinners"

"Washington Bullets" (with the "Silicone on Sapphire" instrumental track)

The running order is up to you. My only requirement is that "Lose This Skin" be placed at the end of Side 2 and be an unlisted bonus track a la "Train in Vain". This has been a fun venture and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did putting it together!
