Today's "Song for Red" - "September Gurls Do So Much"

The beginning of school is always filled with a twinge of melancholy for me. Red enters the 2nd grade in a couple of weeks. Today's receipt of her classroom assignment made it all too real: Summer's end is just around the corner.

Too many parents structure their kids' every waking summer moment. We just went with the flow, for the most part. It's just the three of us and we have to make every minute count. So, my wife and I will probably go through withdrawal. Nothing an afternoon gin and tonic and Big Star can't cure!

Today's SFR is "September Gurls."
