"My 3 Songs" for Tuesday

Hally Georgeson from Minneapolis says, "I'm moving away for my junior year of college to Olympia WA this month, and these are songs from Minneapolis and the great people I've shared many memorable moments with." (Halley's comments are in parentheses).

1) Beatles, "In My Life" ("This is for Elizabeth, whether she likes the Beatles less than the Rolling Stones or not ... and for Minneapolis, the streets and the faces, the bars and trhe cafes, the organizations and the NW suburbs").

2) Groove Armada, "My Friend" ("For all my friends who hate Groove Armada but whenever I hear this song I'm reminded of them")

3) The Hold Steady, "Massive Night" ("The Hold Steady is from Minneapolis [Brooklyn?] and while my friends are pretty cool, your friends do a horrible job at acting like it")

I'm not sure to whom Halley is directing her comments in her Hold Steady remarks, but I thought what she said was pretty funny nonetheless. Unless, Halley, you're actually talking about my friends ....
