It's a Prince Hat-Trick!!

He's already playing Macy's in the afternoon on Saturday, then the big Target Center show and now... The Aftershow show at First Ave !?!? Apparently the last time he played there, where he
filmed 'Purple Rain', was 1987!! Tix on sale at 3pm Saturday afternoon, one per person.

What will be interesting to see is which Minneapolis turns out for this event. The jaded, cynical, "color me impressed" Minneapolis that means only a few die hards are in line at 3:00? Or the "hot fun in the summertime" Minneapolis that leads people to do crazy, spur of the moment things like taking a lawn chair to the sweltering streets of downtown on the off chance that you'll be able to glimpse the top of the Little Prince's head from the corner of the bar you get squeezed into?

I'm totally doing the latter.

Y'know the more I think about how they're doing this Prince at First Ave show, (first come first serve ticket thing) the cooler I think it is.
No guest list.
Eliminate industry hacks who haven't paid for a show in 10 years..
Real die hard Prince fans.
I remember seeing Prince in The Ascot Room at The Quest as a surprise gig.
Before the show he walked around the crowd with a sucker in his mouth and nobody hassled him!
